“Hoerikwaggo” means “Mountain in the Sea” in the language of the original people inhabiting the Cape, the Khoisan. This hiking trail will take you to the top of the Hoerikwaggo, nowadays better known as Table Mountain, and beyond. You will stay over in lodges near or in the Table Mountain National Park.
The Outeniqua and Harkerville trails show you the beauty of the Garden Route from up close. Hike through forests, along coasts, pine plantations and past exhausted gold mines. You will overnight in self-catering bush cottages, adding to the atmosphere of this idyllic trip. This hike is suitable as an add-on to other Go-itineraries.
This trip will take you up the untamed west coast of South Africa. Watch flamingos, hike through the pretty West Coast nature reserve and admire ancient Khoisan rock paintings in Kagga Kamma. Most of the distances in this flydrive will be covered by car.
